Well, we are still trying to catch up on stuff around here after visiting family for a long 4th of July weekend. The weather was extremely hot (well past 100F most days), so we didn't spend as much time outside as usual, but everyone still had a wonderful time. Here are some of the highlights of a weekend at the lake --
Watching fireworks from the boat in the evening
Finding a new "pet"
Lots and lots of swimming!
Storytime on a rainy afternoon
Finally had the chance to fix the oil pump on my chainsaw, which required taking the entire thing apart. Thanks for the help, little brother! Hey Dad - did you know that instead of using a "cylinder lock tool" (which I don't have and can't afford) to remove the clutch, you can just take out the spark plug and stuff the hole with a small diameter rope to jam the cylinder? Handy little trick I stumbled across on a forum somewhere, don't even remember where...
Joy's first haircut - she's definitely not a baby anymore!
Helping Aunt K wash the car...
Helping may not be the best word to use.
Helping may not be the best word to use.
More boat rides
General silliness - even the turtle got involved
I hope you all got to enjoy family and friends this holiday too!
